Specific Attributes

Work Attitude
Work attitude is how you think, feel or behave at work. You do your work hard with pride, this shows that you are happy with work, you show lots of interest, you do the best you can. You believe in yourself that you are working towards success. Also you treat your colleagues as you want to be treated, you help them with work to show that you are a happy person. When you get distracted, you will ignore it to show that you are not easily offended.

Technical knowledge
Technical knowledge is when you good understanding of different aspects of your job. For example, if you are working in an office where you use computers, you would know how to fix a non working or a slow computer. You would know if there was a problem with someone’s computer and go and fix it. This will show your manager that you have experience and skills.
Health & Safety
Health and safety is when you show that you are not a threat or a risk at your work. You know the safety rules at work, you know the proper use of the objects you use at work. You know the hazards and dangers that you or someone can pose and you also know what to in case of emergency such as fire.

For example if your working in an office, you would sit on the computer chair with correct procedure, the desk would be clean with no things can damage the computer such as tea, coffee etc. The cables would not be scattered around.

Work In Team
Working in a team is one of the most important skills you need in a job because you work with your colleagues, you share your ideas and your opinions that are job related. This can help you be more creative and lead to better results. Increase employee satisfaction.


General Attributes

Planning Skills
Planning skills is how well you are organized. It involves decision making, situation analysis, forecasting and the outcome of your actions. For example, if you were working in a DIY company and were to make a wardrobe, you would have to plan how it should look like, what size measurements, materials and equipment you need. The step by step on what you have to do etc. This is valued by employers because it shows them that before you do any work, you think, you plan and then do it, this shows the employers that you don’t rush into what you do. A employer wants to see how you work, wether you are the correct equipment the correct way, wether you think about what you are going to do and plan some alternatives in case one thing goes wrong etc.

Organisational Skills
Organisational skills is how well you are organized, this includes planning skills, time management, timetabling, planning ahead, keeping a diary of meetings or events and working toward deadlines. Being organized means you have everything ready, like if you were to give a Maths exam on a sheet, you would have the equipment such as a book, pen, pencil, rubber etc ready.



Attitudes

Positive Mindset and Attitude
Positive thinking and attitude can lead you to a success in your career. When you have positive thinking, you have positive thoughts and find answers to hard questions. Someone who has positive thinking thinks positive always foresees happiness, good health and happiness. They trust themselves and believe that they will make the right decision. Not everyone has positive mindset, some people may think they do but they won’t. If you were to work in group discussion and thought you have positive mindset, you would share you opinions but it could turn out you were wrong. To develop positive thinking, you have to first realize that thinking is not something you would do randomly. You have to work towards it daily and make it a habit.

Energy and Enthusiasm
Energy and enthusiasm is when you do work the with lots of interest, you use all your strength and the best ideas you have. This shows your employee that you are very down to your job and working hard. Enthusiasm is when you have passion for you work, you are eager to do this or that. If you were not feeling well, you would still attend your work, this shows that you have lots of motivation.

Realistic Expectations
Realistic expectations is when you receive the outcome of your work just as you expected. You work towards your goals as you planned with positive mindset and planning skills.

Attendance
Attend your classes on time, try to reach about 10 minutes early. This shows that you have good timekeeping. If you are off sick, you should inform your boss. But if you are able to come to work even if you are sick, you should because this shows that you have motivation to work, you are more focused on the work and try not to miss out anything.

Character
Character shows how responsible you are towards yourself. It relates to how you dress, speak, walk etc. For example in an office, you would wear a suit and dress properly, like have tie tied right up to your buttons, have your shirt tucked in. You also keep yourself clean and have body spray on you but not too much. Your character also shows how you speak, for example if an group meeting, you would not interrupt and have your say.

Good Communication and Numeracy Skills
Good communication and numeracy skill is one of the very important skills required in many jobs. Most employees look for someone with good communication skill and knowledge of maths. This can help you do your job easier because if you were a cashier where you take money from customers and give them a change, you would need to know the calculations and what change you need to give them back without using a calculator. Also the communication skill is very important skill in job because you have to talk to other people, give them good helpful advice etc. This includes telephone skills, body language, eye contact and persuading or negotiating
